McFarlane Sheet Metal, doing business as Environmental Engineering, is certified by the National Environmental Balancing Bureau (NEBB) to perform work in the following areas.

• Test and Balance
• Sound Analysis
• Building Systems Commissioning

Dave McFarlane is a member of NEBB's Building System Commissioning Committee. In November of 2003, Mr. McFarlane was selected to chair the committee. This group devises national NEBB policy for the commissioning process.

Environmental Engineering was also certified as a member of TABB in 2003.

The firm also inspects building ventilation systems to recommend and make corrective changes. This retro commissioning process fixes buildings that do not work and in several instances can lower energy costs.
